Este blog pretende ser uma plataforma de apresentação e discussão do mundo de Arcana. 
Arcana é um novo mundo de RPG para D&amp;D 3.5, que está a ser desenvolvido por mim e está em fase de meio gás... 
A ideia do blog é eu ir apresentando ideias, mais ou menos estruturadas, do que quero inserir no mundo e ouvir opiniões que possam reforçar, modificar ou mesmo alterar as ideias originais.

   &lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="text-align: justify;font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="text-align: justify;font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;A definição:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;      &lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt;font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“No templo de Pelor há um tomo antigo. Quando o templo recruta aventureiros para as suas demandas mais importantes, cada um dos que pretende participar tem que beijar o livro. Os que têm maldade no seu coração são atingidos por poder sagrado, e até os que não são maus nem bons ficam atordoados. Apenas os que são bons conseguem beijar o livro sem serem afectados e aos quais são confiados os trabalhos mais importantes do templo. O bem e o mal não são conceitos filosóficos no D&amp;D. Eles são as forças que definem o cosmos. Diabos, tomando a forma humana, percorrem a terra tentando as pessoas para o mal. Clérigos devotos usam o poder do bem para proteger os fiéis. Seguidores de deuses maléficos trazem a ruína aos inocentes para ganhar o favor dos seus deuses, acreditando que recompensas os esperam no além vida. Paladinos confrontam temerariamente praticantes do mal. Senhores da guerra viram-se para o poder sobrenatural que mais os auxiliar nas suas conquistas, e enviados de deuses do bem e do mal prometem recompensas como compensação da lealdade dos senhores da guerra.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt;font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;As atitudes gerais, morais e pessoais, de uma criatura são representadas pelo seu alinhamento: leal bom, neutral bom, caótico bom, leal neutral, neutral, caótico neutral, leal mau, neutral mau e caótico mau. O alinhamento é uma ferramenta usada para desenvolver a identidade das personagens. O alinhamento não é uma camisa-de-forças para restringir as personagens. Cada alinhamento representa um vasto leque de tipos de personalidade ou filosofias pessoais, assim duas personagens com o mesmo alinhamento podem ainda ser bastante diferentes uma da outra. Adicionalmente, poucas pessoas são completamente consistentes.  Uma personagem leal boa pode ter tendências gananciosas que ocasionalmente o tentam a ficar com algo ou acumular coisas que possui mesmo isso não sendo um comportamento nem leal nem bom. As pessoas também não são consistentes no seu dia a dia. Uma personagem boa pode perder a paciência a agir agressivamente, uma personagem neutral praticar um acto nobre, etc. Escolher um alinhamento para uma personagem implica tomar uma posição na maneira como se quer jogar a personagem. Se a personagem agir de um modo mais apropriado a outro alinhamento, o mestre de jogo pode decidir que o seu alinhamento deve mudar de modo a representar as suas acções. “&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p  class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;À face do exposto o que é então o alinhamento em D&amp;D? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" face="arial" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O alinhamento é uma força real e presente nos mundos de D&amp;D. Ele existe em todas as criaturas e até em alguns objectos ou locais. O alinhamento é contudo uma força passiva pois uma criatura não pode activamente usá-lo para fazer algo, o alinhamento simplesmente existe.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Se não se usa para que serve então o alinhamento?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O alinhamento tem dois propósitos no jogo. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;1)&lt;span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Como o alinhamento representa forças concretas e reais em D&amp;D existente em todas as criaturas, estas têm que possuir algo que as defina perante estas regras. A magia consegue interagir com as forças do alinhamento e é essa uma das principais razões pela qual todas as criaturas têm que ter um alinhamento. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;2)&lt;span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;O alinhamento é uma ferramenta utilizada para auxiliar os jogadores definirem a identidade das suas personagens. Contrariamente ao que se pensa, o alinhamento não determina a personalidade de uma personagem, ele é sim determinado pela personalidade da personagem. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 35.4pt; text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O alinhamento funciona como um termómetro, não como uma camisa-de-forças. Como um termómetro, ele flutua consoante os comportamentos das personagens mudam. Uma personagem não é gentil e generosa porque é boa, ela é boa por ser gentil e generosa. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 35.4pt; text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Ao deixar que o alinhamento determine o que a personagem faz está-se a utilizá-lo como ele não deve ser utilizado, uma camisa-de-forças!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 35.25pt; text-align: justify; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Um termómetro diz que está calor porque a temperatura aumentou. Contudo, se alterarmos a agulha para o muito quente quando na verdade está um frio de rachar, isso não vai aquecer as coisas. Assim como puxá-la para baixo também não vai arrefecer as coisas. Neste momento estão prontos a jogar mas tenho uma outra ideia, um pouco diferente, que gostaria de expôr e ouvir o que pensam.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Essa ideia é a seguinte; desaparecer com os deuses! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Sim, tive o trabalho de os criar mas como tudo em D&amp;amp;D, podem ser reaproveitados...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Ou seja, a divindade está presente no mundo ou melhor ainda é o mundo. O "planeta" Arcana seria como uma personificação multi-divina.&lt;br /&gt;Cada raça/civilização/etc encararia o que o rodeia como o divino, por exemplo os elfos veriam a sua floresta, Närié, com um deus/deusa, os anões a sua montanha, os meio-elfos o mar, etc.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;O que diferenciaria na vida terrena os vários"deuses" seriam sim inúmeras instituições religiosas que encorporariam os aspectos que consideram divinos (com aspectos leiam-se Domains).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;As implicações práticas disto é que quem fizesse um clérigo poderia escolher quaisquer domains como sendo a sua "divindade" e poderia, ou não, pertencer a qualquer instituição religiosa que englobasse esses dois domains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Confuso? Esse anel, conhecido como Anel de Fogo (devido aos inumeros vulcões activos que possui e que modificam o clima em redor), tem no seu interior um vasto deserto. Este deserto é dominado por umas entidades a que chamam Reis Divinos e que fazem experiências com raças, criando novos habitantes para o mundo de Arcana. Muitas das raças que vagueiam no mundo são produto das sua experiências. Possueum rigido sistema de castas e uma grande burocracia politica, aescravatura é legal e socialmente aceite, e os goblinperfazem a maioria da casta comum, assim como a parte dispensável do exército. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Os hobgoblins guerreiros são a casta dominante; os hobgoblins não fazem trabalho manual pois está abaixo da sua dignidade social. Os hobgoblins administram as terras como nobres medievais sobre os seus servos goblins, que estão ligados às terras e têm poucas liberdades pessoais ou protecções da lei. Os hobgoblin recebem a maioria dos proveitos de impostos e de receberem 20% de tudo o que os servos produzam das terras. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;As leis são duras e impiedosas e os que perturbam a estrutura social são sujeitos à mão d ajustiça, normalmente execução ou escravatura. Os hobgoblins olham as outras raças como geneticamente inferiores e não mostram muito respeito por elas.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt; As amoridas das suas cidades são espartanas em forma e funcionalidade, com ruas direita se bem planeadas, muralhas espessas e pouca imaginação na cor, arte ou arquitectura. A todos os cidadãos é exigido por lei o transporte de papéis de identificação, os quais podem ser pedidos a qualquer altura. Casas são frequentemente vasculhadas na procura de contrabando, traidores ou dinheiro de impostos não declarado. Isto não impede que ideias de outros mundos sejam incorporadas em Arcana mas a ideia é que, no geral, Arcana seja diferente do tradicional nos mundos de D&amp;D.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Mundo Novo:&lt;/span&gt; O mundo é recente. A Era actual tem cerca de 700 anos e foi iniciada por um acontecimento global. Nada se sabe da era anterior, há indícios e teorias de que outras raças habitaram o mundo mas não se sabe nada de concreto.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Descoberta:&lt;/span&gt; O mundo de Arcana é um mundo de descobertas. Toda a história global é para ser descoberta, vivida e feita pelos jogadores. Ao invés de se ouvir falar do grande rei Kulmar, os jogadores poderão viver a sua ascensão, glória ou queda. Viver a história em vez de ouvir falar dela é uma das grandes premissas de Arcana.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Magia Primordial:&lt;/span&gt; A magia está no seu estado bruto e puro, sem grandes refinamentos. Esta é a era de magias novas e desconhecidas (uso dos sistemas de magia do Tome of Magic; Pact, Shadow e Truename magic, bem como de outros) e claro está psionicos. Atingiram as terras baixas e ai estabeleceram um reino informal, as Terras livre de Ossai. Adaptaram-se à terra e habitam em grandes aldeias, vivendo da agricultura e da criação de gado mas o sangue orc ainda ferve no seu interior. Desenvolveram um forte sentido de honra e responsabilidade assim como um grande respeito pelas forças naturais que os rodeiam. O seu reino, a grande Cidadela de Barzan diz-se ter 500.000 habitantes e que se estende por várias centenas de milhas debaixo do Colosso de Barak, uma das maiores cadeias montanhosas de Arcana. Os anões gostam de viajar, de comércio e sobretudo de ganhar dinheiro, não é pois de estranhar que tenham inventado o comércio, a cunhagem e que os seus bardos tenham criado a lingua comum. However, dwarves can move at this speed even when wearing medium or heavy armor or when carrying a medium or heavy load (unlike other creatures, whose speed is reduced in such situations).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Darkvision: Dwarves can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and dwarves can function just fine with no light at all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Stonecunning: This ability grants a dwarf a +2 racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like. Something that isn’t stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. A dwarf who merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework can make a Search check as if he were actively searching, and a dwarf can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can. A dwarf can also intuit depth, sensing his approximate depth underground as naturally as a human can sense which way is up. Dwarves have a sixth sense about stonework, an innate ability that they get plenty of opportunity to practice and hone in their underground homes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Weapon Familiarity: Dwarves may treat dwarven waraxes, dwarven warpikes and dwarven urgroshes as martial weapons, rather than exotic weapons.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Stability: Dwarves are exceptionally stable on their feet. São considerados uma raça inferior que apenas serve para ser misturada com as outras raças, conspurcando-as.&lt;br /&gt;Apenas sobrevivem devido à sua tenacidade é à sua adaptabilidade. Na sua língua, Yarko significa &lt;i style=""&gt;cego abençoado&lt;/i&gt; e é isso que eles são. Os seus olhos, considerados os mais belos de toda a Arcana causaram inveja até entre os próprios deuses. Alvo de uma maldição divina, perderam por completo a visão e os seus olhos tornaram-se baços e brancos. Cegos e sem vontade de viver foram um alvo fácil para outras raças não muito escrupulosas. Famintos, feridos e meio loucos, os que sobreviveram fugiram para uma planície encravada entre uma montanha e uma floresta, situada no centro de Arcana, guiados por uma mão invisível. Simples e inocentes desconhecem o sentimento de inveja e o roubo não faz parte do seu vocabulário. A sua pele, de cor acastanhada acomoda um corpo delineado. Têm um cabelo de cor prateada, usado pelos machos pelo meio das costas, que apanham num rabo-de-cavalo no alto da cabeça. Os machos só podem usar bigode, apenas lhes é permitido usar barba, se o quiserem, após casarem. As fêmeas usam o cabelo também comprido, no fundo das costas apanhado numa trança que começa na parte de trás da cabeça. Os seus olhos, grandes e amendoados são totalmente brancos embora tenham um brilho vibrante. Instead, they must remain completely immobile for 4 hours a day for their body to fuel itself with energy. A Luminae resting in this fashion gains the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. This glow gives them a -4 penalty on hide checks unless suppressed. A luminae can try to suppress his natural glow as a swift action, but this is difficult for them, it takes a fortitude save (DC 15) each round to maintain the suppression. They can also intensify (or reverse the intensification) the glow as a swift action, providing bright light out to a number of feet’s up to their current hit points. A sua pele, de cor pálida e opaca percorre um corpo alto, com contornos musculados e magro para a sua altura. As fêmeas são ligeiramente mais baixas e leves do que os machos. Têm um cabelo longo, usado normalmente solto, com uma cor metálica, sendo os mais comuns; cobre, dourado, prateado ou bronze. O cabelo tem uma enorme importância na sua sociedade, pois ele determina a sua idade e importância entre os Galadrin. Se cortado, o seu cabelo cresce da noite para o dia até ao tamanho que determina a sua idade. Desde a nascença o seu corpo, tronco e membros, está coberto com intricados padrões geométricos semelhantes a tatuagens de cor azul água escuro. A parte anterior da sua cabeça e pescoço está coberta de runas da mesma cor. Os seus olhos, longos e rasgados têm sempre cores vivas e vibrantes, não sendo incomum encontrar olhos de cor vermelha, roxa ou verde-esmeralda, por exemplo. O seu corpo está coberto com pêlo macio cuja cor varia entre o amarelo, laranja, castanho, cinzento, preto e branco, lisa ou então com uma mistura destas mesmas cores, outros podem ter riscas, manchas ou pintas pretas. Alguns elementos da raça, que muito raramente surgem, apresentam um pêlo totalmente negro ou branco. Os seus olhos são semelhantes aos dos gatos com pupilas adaptáveis.
